With the aim to strengthening the capacities of service providers working with women victims of gender based violence, CAWTAR held a training session on gender based violence 7-11 September, 2012 in Sudan in the framework of the project,“Improving the Access of Women to Social and Health counselling services in Sudan” -implemented by CAWTAR with the support from the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND).
A national/local training session on strategic planning based on gender and human rights will be held on September 16-18, 2012 in Yemen within the framework of the project, “Alleviating Poverty Among Women in Rural Areas through Facilitating their Access to and Control of Resources Including Information, Social protection and Services “.
Under the project, “Advancing Civic Engagement in Tunisia” (ACT), the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR ) will organize a training session on advocacy and communication which will be held on September 3-7, 2012 in Tunis.
In the framework of the Regional Economic Empowerment of Women Project (REEWP) and of the Advocacy Campaign on women’s access to the forest resources as a mean to contribute to their economic empowerment leaded by CAWTAR (Center of Arab Women for training and research) in Tunisia, the Center has launched a national study on the existing mechanisms and legislation impacting on the access to the forest resources and their exploitation by the GDAs (Groupement de développement agricole) in Tunisia.
In the framework of the Regional Economic Empowerment of Women Project, CAWTAR will organize a regional advocacy training workshop on “ advocacy: monitoring and evaluation” in Amman, Jordan from 15 - 18 July 2012.
