CAWTAR held a debate workshop 25 July 2012 in Kelibia, Tunisia based on the short movie “Who is Fatima?” (produced by CAWTAR in 2010 ) in addition to select scenes from fictional films, documentaries and videos on the internet that reflect the stereotype image of women in the society and the importance of citizens’ participation in public and political life.

In the framework of CAWTAR’s research project, "Young Women and Political Participation in Tunisia: informal mobilization and institutional participation pacing the way for future actions" funded by the Canadian International Development Research Center (IDRC), a focus group of 12 participants including men and women active in political organizations, political parties, associations and unions was conducted on 22 July 2011, in Tunis.
