Joint Multi-Purpose Training kits

These kits are products of joint projects between CAWTAR and its International and Regional partners.

Arab Women Speak Out (AWSO) Training Manual (Arabic)

This is a joint training project between John Hopkins University, Population Communication Services and CAWTAR. The training Manual targets low income women in rural and urban areas.

The Manual consists of:

• 10 documentary videos.
• Training exercises on: learning experiences, self-esteem, negotiation, participation in public life, networking, decision-making and health care.
• Oral histories of 30 women.
• Tools for monitoring the image of women in the media.

Gender Equality, Employment Promotion and Poverty Eradication (GPE) (Arabic)

In an agreement with the International Labour Organization, ILO and CAWTAR, co-organize training sessions based upon the ILO’s training package, Gender Equality, Employment Promotion and Poverty Eradication (GPE). The training aims to enhance the capacity of national and regional stakeholders to understand the linkages between gender, poverty and employment policies and their implications for equality and development in the Arab region. The package is adapted to suit the needs of the region and consists of 9 modules and a guide to readers and facilitators.
