Study Market workshop under the Regional Economic Empowerment of Women Project (REEWP)

On 12 January, 2012 CAWTAR held a workshop in Tunis to present and discuss the results of the study market  on Essential Oil in Tunisia performed by Mr.WalidGaddas.

Writing workshop in the framework of the research on Rural women and local development

CAWTAR organized a writing workshop on "the writing of scientific article" in the framework of the research on” rural women and local development “ conducted under the Regional Economic Empowerment of Women Project (REEWP) 16-19, 2012 in Hammamet, Tunisia.

Training sessions on Democracy, human rights and gender equality

Screening and debate spreading the culture of equality amongst women and men and enhancing women's leadership capacity

CAWTAR will hold a debate workshop based on the short movie “Who is Fatima?” (produced by CAWTAR in 2010 ) in addition to select scenes from fictional films, documentaries and videos on the internet that reflect the stereotype image of women in the society and the importance of citizens’ participation in public and political life.

Training sessions on strategic planning under the ACT project

In the context of enhancing the capacities of NGO’s in southern Tunisia, the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR )will organize a training session on “ strategic planning” under the program for “Advancing Civic Engagement in Tunisia” (ACT) 19-29 March, 2012 in Tozeur, Tunisia.

Press conference: research launch

CAWTAR will hold a press conference on 23 November, 2012 in Tunis for the launch of  the research, “Young Women and Political Participation in Tunisia: informal mobilization and institutional participation pacing the way for future actions“. A diversified group of people interested in women’s political participation will be invited to the press conference.

Field visit to GDA Tbainia, AinDraham-ATLAS foundation

In the framework of the Regional Economic Empowerment of Women Project (REEWP), CAWTAR organized a field visit to GDA Tbainia (Groupement de DéveloppementAgricole) and ATLAS Foundation in AinDraham, Tunisia, for 20 women members of the GFDA OuedSbaihiya (GroupementFéminin de DéveloppementAgricole).

Steering committee meeting

The first steering committee meeting was organized on 22 December, 2011 in Tunis under the project, “Promote gender and support emerging NGOs to play an effective role during the democratic transition” implemented by CAWTAR and financed by Open Society Institution.
