Most of the criminal and psychological statistics points up that 80% of crimes committed in the world today are primarily due to drug abuse.
Despite the relative decline of their total population, the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council spend the equivalent of (800) million dollars a year on tobacco, while Morocco spends more than its total spending on education.
Studies show that it is possible to save ten million children from malnutrition diseases in poor countries if parents direct their spending from tobacco to food.
Tobacco contains (4000) chemical substances including (400) toxic substances. Smoking kills four million people each year and this figure is expected to reach 10 million people annually in 2020.
Out of every hundred people consuming tobacco, between 85 per cent to 90 per cent become addicted.

Cigars contain (40) times more nicotine and tar than the quantity of these substances in one cigarette.
A single bubble equals nearly (50) to (60) cigarettes.
Smoking bubbles in a two-hour or three-hour session equals smoking nearly (25) cigarettes and each cigarette contains 20 Mg of nicotine.
The lethal dose of nicotine is (50) mg.
Consumers of bubble tobacco represent 80 per cent of people infected with oral cancer in Sudan.
 Six million Sudanese out of a total population of (30) million people consume tobacco made manually by draining the tobacco leaf and mixing it with water and sodium bicarbonate to form a relatively dry paste to be placed inside the mouth for a period ranging between minutes to hours and renewed several times during the day.
Conducted studies show that Sudanese tobacco contains carcinogenic substances according to the samples tested in laboratories in the United States and Norway.

There are indications that tobacco might also lead to oesophagus cancer as some of the tobacco reach this organ as well as bladder cancer due to the mixture of carcinogenic substances with urine.
