Definition of addiction


Addiction refers to the person’s dependency on  any substance that is stimulant, depressant or causing hallucination when used for  non-medical or pleasure. It essentially  affects the individual psychologically and physically.

Types of addition:

Despite the difficulty of determining the substances, means and behaviors to which individuals might be addicted to, one can refer to:

  • Various types of drugs

  • Internet and computer (electronic games)

  • Watching certain types of films (pornography, action ...)

  • Depressants with their various kinds

  • Steroids

  • Excessive consumption of one type of food

  • Staying up late excessively

  • Excessive sleeping

  • Excessive shopping

  • Nuts with their different types.
