Many causes and factors are behind the resort of adolescents of both sexes to addiction. Some of these causes are related to the family and social situation of adolescents and their relationship with colleagues, friends and relatives. These factors can be limited in the following factors:

• Family disintegration or divorce of parents or immigration of  one of them
• Irregular social upbringing or indifference towards children
• Curiosity.
• Bad companions and others’ luring
• A misunderstanding of the relationship of drug with virility and courage among males
• School dropout and unemployment
